On 28 Feb 2022, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will release their latest, six yearly assessment report on Climate Change 'Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability'. Following this, we have organized an event that will feature a presentation on from Prof Mark Howden (IPCC Vice-Chair) who will explain the findings from this report and what it means for Fiji. The presentation will discuss the region’s vulnerability to, and impact from, climate change, as well as options for adapting and responding to climate stressors. Join us for a panel discussion that includes speakers from the British High Commission, Fiji Meteorological Service and The Climate Change and International Cooperation Division (CCICD) of the Ministry of Economy, Fiji . This session will be moderated by Dr. Ramendra Prasad of the University of Fiji.

Prof Mark Howden is an IPCC Vice-Chair and has assisted in the final approval process of the report. He will give a presentation on the key findings, before participating in a question and answer session.

This event is presented by the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions and the University of Fiji.
