KAIST, 20회 세탁해도 성능 유지되는 나노섬유 마스크 개발
A research team at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, or KAIST, developed a new type of reusable mask.
The nanofiber filter inside the cotton product maintained 94 percent of its original effectiveness even after 20 washes,.
It can be used for more than a month when disinfected with ethanol.
The researchers hope the product can help solve the mask shortage situation in Korea... as well as the environmental problems caused when masks are thrown away.
