Yesus dan murid-muridNya melanjutkan perlayaran dan tiba di Gerasa. Seorang lelaki yang dirasuki roh jahat di tepi pantai menggonggong kepada mereka. Yesus cepat-cepat menuju ke arahnya, mendahului murid-muridNya.
Lelaki itu mengancam Yesus dengan batu. Tetapi Yesus menatapnya secara terus menerus. Lelaki itu memanggil Yesus dengan sebutan namaNya dan menyatakan KepadaNya sebgai Anak Allah. Yesus bertanya kepada lelaki itu siapa namanya. Awalnya lelaki itu tidak mau mengatakannya. Akan tetapi Yesus menahan tanganNya kepadanya. Dia mengatakan namanya adalah Legion. Dia memohon untuk tidak dikirim kembali ke jurang. Sebaliknya dia ingin pergi ke kawanan babi terdekat. Yesus mengulurkan tangan kepada kawanan Babi.

Jesus and His disciples continue to sail and arrive at Gerasa. A wild man on the shore growls at their approach. Jesus hurries toward him, ahead of His disciples.
The man threatens Jesus with the rock. But Jesus just continues to stare at him. The man calls Jesus by name and declares Him to be the Son of God. Jesus asks him his name. At first the man won't say. But Jesus holds out a hand to him. He says his name is Legion. He begs not to be sent back to the abyss. Instead, he wants to go into a nearby herd of pigs. Jesus puts a hand out to the pigs.
