Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang Attends 89th Birthday Celebration of the 14th Dalai Lama
Chief Minister Mr. Prem Singh Tamang had the honor and pleasure of attending the 89th birthday celebration of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama at the Dalai Lama Temple in McLeodganj. The event underscored the enduring impact of His Holiness's teachings on compassion, peace, and harmony.
Chief Minister Tamang received a warm welcome from Sikyong (CTA) Penpa Tsering, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, and the entire team of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). The occasion was memorable, and the Chief Minister expressed that he felt deeply privileged to be part of such a significant event.
The celebration was also attended by Speaker Mr. MN Sherpa, Ministers Mr. Bhim Hang Subba, Mr. Puran Gurung, and Mr. Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, MLAs Mr. Sanjit Kharel and Mr. Erung Lepcha, DoP Secretary (Rtd) and Former Chairman (ARC) Mr. Tenzing Gelek, Principal RC Mr. AK Chand, and CMO Secretary Dr. SD Dhakal. Representatives of the local Tibetan Assembly in Gangtok, executive members of the six Tibetan associations, and students from Sikkim were also present.
