The public sector is set to undergo a major shakeup with the government announcing it will dissolve 47 State Corporations with overlapping and duplicating functions and the employees integrated into mainstream government Ministries. This is in line with its plans to cut back on operating costs in the wake of the withdrawal of the finance bill 2024 following widespread protests.
