Like many parents, Christina and Jerry discovered that Zachary was having trouble with his distance vision at his regular pediatric exam when he could no longer see eye chart. After taking him to an optometrist for an eye exam, Zachary was diagnosed with myopia. Like many children with myopia, Zachary’s prescription worsened rapidly. Within a matter of months, his doctor found the need to double and even triple the prescription strength, just to provide Zachary with clear vision.
Once your child’s eyesight has gotten worse, there is no going back. Traditional glasses and contact lenses can correct vision, but they can’t slow the rate at which the eye gets longer and the vision gets worse. That’s why Zachary’s eye doctor prescribed MiSight® 1 day as part of his myopia control treatment plan. MiSight® 1 day is the only soft contact lens FDA approved* to slow the progression of myopia in children aged 8-12 at the initiation of treatment.¹† Christina remembers looking at Zachary and thinking, “We have to try, at the very least we have to try.”
Three months after starting to wear MiSight® 1 day, Zachary is happy to report that there was no change in his prescription at his most recent eye exam, unlike the rapid growth at his previous appointments.

Precautions: Daily wear single use only. Patient should always dispose when lenses are removed. No overnight wear. Patients should exercise extra care if performing potentially hazardous activities. Adverse events: Including but not limited to infection/inflammation/ulceration/abrasion of the cornea, other parts of the eye or eyelids.
