Short and sweet is the best way to describe 18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker. The Dreamcast port could do with more content and it doesn't take long to see everything this title has to offer. In fact you can easily master this game in a day, but there aren't many video games where you can ram just about everything off the road as you race for your destination. Cars, trucks, signs you name it you can smash it and 18 Wheeler is the perfect game for let off steam on. As with all AM2 arcade racers you are against the clock, timing is very tight and you gain bonus time for ram the mark time cars. You also have to square off against Lizard Tail a rival trucker, who's out to steal your client. While this is a game that was best played in the original arcade cabinet to get the full effect of driving a truck. Full playthrough as the secret character Nippon Maru and fans of 18 Wheeler will be pleased to know it got a sequel called The King of Route 66 and that was ported to the PS2.
Note 18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker is frame locked at 30fps on Dreamcast.
