Patient about 50 years old with abrupt-edged nails, who wears orthopedics and works in safety boots.
He reports pain under the hallux nail. Has (almost) apical subungual heloma and medial onychophosis in the left hallux.
I proceed to extract it and leave the area completely clean and decompressed, relieving the pain.

Regarding the use of anesthesia, which is something that I am asked very often...
In Argentina, podiatrists are prohibited from using injectable anesthesia in procedures. This is why I do not use anesthesia and I try to be extremely careful during the procedure so as not to cause pain. They are not painful procedures.
