Jammu and Kashmir police chief SP Vaid was unceremoniously removed on late Thursday, 6 September and shunted as the Transport Commissioner. Director General (Prisons) Dilbagh Singh has been given additional charges of Director General of Police (DGP), till a regular arrangement is made, said the official statement.
