Someple find themselves torn between the Sig P320 vs Glock 19. It's understandable - both are outstanding guns and are finding many adopters, even though the P320 hasn't been around as long. The P320 is also the civilian version of the M17 pistol, being made by Sig Sauer for the US armed forces.

Which should you get? Both have a lot of selling points. Both pistols are striker-fired, polymer-frame compacts that are big enough for use as a service gun but small enough to be carried everyday and easily concealed. Both offer capacity of 15+1 rounds of 9mm. The P320 can also be had in .40 S&W, but then again so can the Glock.
A lot of people would argue the Glock 19 is close to the perfect gun, and it's been a very popular pistol for plainclothes police officers and civilian carriers since it was released in the late 1980s. It holds 15+1 rounds, yet weighs less than 1.5 pounds. It stands just 5 inches tall, 1.2 inches wide and just under 7.5 inches long, making it quite easy to carry.
The Sig P320 Compact configuration is a little wider, at 1.3 inches, though a little shorter at 7.2 inches but a little taller at 5.3 inches. It's also a little heavier, at 25.8 ounces.
Both feature accessory rails, ready for mounting the laser/light of your choice, if you so choose. Sights are eminently upgradable, though Sig offers night sights through the factory. Both pistols have crisp striker triggers and both have an incredible amount of aftermarket support if you wish to start upgrading parts.
What would set one apart from the other? The P320 is a modular gun, as the trigger group can be moved between frame and slide groups. Carry a compact, switch to a full-size for the range or the trail as you see fit. The Glock 19 is just the Glock 19.
The Sig P320 feels more massive than it is, with a heavier slide that feels incredibly nose-heavy unloaded. A full magazine balances this out, and the heavier slide actually helps tame the torque on the wrist from Sig's high bore axis.
The Sig also doesn't require a trigger pull for takedown, and Glocks do. Some people really do not like that feature on Glock pistols, so you'll have to address that for yourself.
