This time I´m restoring a Kingston watch.
It´s powered by the Poljot 2409 caliber, a hand-wind movement with 17 rubis and a shock protection. It beats with 18000 bph and the lift angle of the balance is 42°.
The watch is in bad condition: The case is full of green patina/rust and the plating is damaged, the glass is heavily scratched and the movement isn´t running at all. The mainspring seems blocked and the time-setting is not working.
The mainspring is unbreakable, thats what the dial says. But unfortunately not un-"bendable"... the mainspring is done and I need to replace that one as well as the sliding-pinion (all teeths are broken off).
I need to clean the case in acetic acid to remove the patina and re-polish it. The glass will be polished and the movement cleaned. The crown is damaged so i need to replace that one.
After everything is cleaned and polished, I can re-assemble the movement with some fresh oil. After that, this watch is in a good beat (+1 second per day) again.
I hope you liked this restoration, if so, like, comment and subscribe ;)
