As I've been playing through the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC with my Greatsword of Solitude build, and refusing to let go of my offhand-crossbow obsession, I started to wonder if using the Spread Crossbow was actually the best option for status buildup (I know it's definitely at least a viable one). I initially wrote off the Repeating Crossbow because it felt pretty terrible, but despite that I decided to give it another serious whirl, alongside dusting off the ol' Pulley Crossbow to see which of these Crossbows would be the best offhand for building up status effects.
