Seventeen years after the last confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah, Lebanon might be on the brink of a new war. Since the October 7 attacks by Hamas on southern Israel, tensions have been simmering on the Israel-Lebanon border, and against this backdrop, the risks of an escalation cannot be underestimated.
