In an unfortunate incident, seven vultures reportedly died on March 13 after falling ill. Around 40 vultures were found feeding on cow carcasses, after which seven died, and several more were reportedly in serious condition. The incident happened near the Bogibeel area under the
Dibrugarh district.
Those in serious condition were taken to a rescue center, where they were treated by doctors in Kaziranga National Park and doctors from Zimbabwe. From there, the birds were released into the wild.
