Kids want to make the biggest bubbles and we want to enable them to broaden their ingredient list to thicken up the bubble. Bubbles always form into spheres, because its the most energy efficient shape, and in this class we try to design a make a bubble that lasts long. Rather than give a recipe, which teaches to a standard, we show the ingredients and ask our students to experiment with thickening agents, soaps, and even whether tap or filtered water is best. Hands-on science starts with learning that mistakes are incredibly valuable, and at Kids Science Labs, we want to enable the next generation of creative thinkers in making the worlds best slimes, gears, airplanes and yes, even bubbles.
