It's not uncommon to see top tyres costing over £100 or $100 for a pair. However, there are plenty of tyres which cost around the £20/$20 mark. The question is, how good are they and out of all the options available on the market, which should you choose? Well, we took some of the most popular options down to Silverstone to the testing facility at the Silverstone UTC where we found out just how fast these tyres are on their rolling resistance rig and how they compared against each other. We also took a look at the spec sheets of these budget tyres and tried to work out which tyres are best for summer, winter and all-round riding.
