If you decide to use batteries from electric cars for the home storage solution, I recommend that you also look at the batteries from the Tesla Model S. They are modules that have almost 24V and can be inserted for a 48V system if them are connected in series and in this way can work with most PV inverters from various brands.
In this video I will explain the compatibility of this BMS manufactured by www.bpathenergy.nl with a system from Victron Energy and how the BMS works with these modules and what is its role in a photovoltaic system.
If you don't have an inverter from Victron, it's not a problem, the BMS is able to work separately, so it doesn't matter which inverter you have as long as it works with 48V.
