Welcome back to another episode of Nam’s Mediocre Reviews, where the products are great, but the reviews are mediocre. Today I’m going to be reviewing the mini SUPER JUICE by OJ Wheels.
These 55mm wheels are a slimmed down version of OJ’s super tough Super Juice. The mini shape features a reinforced core and completely redesigned chip-resistant shape, all on OJs' classic ultra buttery urethane. These wheels come in a variety of colors. I currently have the rainbow and Jamaican sunrise color way.
This review has been in the making for a very long time. To be honest, I didn’t get many great clips with it. It was definitely hard to skate with my normal board setup and at skateparks, but that’s probably because I suck at skating. I think if I added some riser pads and maybe had a larger board, it wouldn’t have been too bad. Pretty sure I got wheel bite 90% of the time I tried any kind of trick that involved landed on the board. I was definitely able to skate ledges OK, but had trouble with transition. I will say that flat ground was kind of fun. My board felt heavier, but it’s just satisfying landing on soft smooth wheels.
With that said, I’ve seen people rip it on these things, but for me, these wheels shined when I was cruising down the street on a rough road, or on uneven pavement in the city. You can go real fast on with these and barely have to look out for rocks or cracks. If you’re a filmer, these wheels might work great for you!
Anyway, I hope this was helpful in any kind of way. Comment below if you’d ride these wheels! Don’t forget to like and subscribe for more reviews.
I have a couple of extra sets, so comment JUICE down below and I’ll choose one or two lucky winners to ship them out to.
