Aaron almost always does a great job playing this part live (especially on Stubb's). Considering how many open strings are involved which create a nice full sound as well as the bend in the interlude riff, it can be surprisingly easy to screw this up. If you tend to struggle with licks that use fretted notes in tandem with open strings because of accidental muting, you're not alone! Haha. My suggestion is to practice positioning your fingers in a way that lets each string ring out when fretting the chords.
