Zelenskyy has criticized the EU for delaying the sixth package of sanctions against Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, addressing EU heads of state and government on Monday, criticized the European Union for the fact that the sixth package of sanctions against Russia has not yet been implemented. Zelensky spoke to European politicians remotely; a video recording of the speech has been posted on his official Telegram channel. In his opinion, progress on sanctions is needed "to make Russia seek peace with Ukraine."
He also reiterated that "there can be no compromises at the expense of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. "Currently, in order to obtain Hungary's consent, the European Commission has gone to a significant softening of its position, announcing that the ban on supplies of pipeline oil from Russia, which Budapest receives, will not yet happen.
