Where do you go to get your Saimin fix? Saimin is Hawaii’s favorite noodle dish and Shige’s Saimin Stand makes one of the best Saimin I’ve ever tasted.
The broth is light but rich in flavor and umami. Noodles and wonton are made in-house daily. Toppings include char six, spam, green onions and kamaboko fish cake. It’s just the perfect bowl of noodles.
Their BBQ Cheeseburger was pretty amazing and highly recommended. The BBQ Sticks were super tender and the sauce so good, I wanted to lick the plate!
From the food to decor, Shige’s Saimin Stand is super old-school, but that’s what I love about this place. Add in the fact that everything they serve here is made from scratch, makes this place super special.
