Every Gary Carter At Bat and many of the standing ovations he received during his final MLB game on September 27, 1992 in Montreal. Gary drove in the only run, leading the Expos to a 1-0 win over the Chicago Cubs, in a picturesque Hollywood ending to his Hall-of-Fame career.
Please visit my tribute video to Gary as well... [ Ссылка ]
(Go to the 4:00 mark if you want to jump to his final at bat, but I find it sets a nice tone when you see his other at bats that night, the ovations the crowd gave him and the words that WGN Broadcasters Harry Caray and Steve Stone make that set up the final At Bat so nicely.)
This video gem not only features the commonly circulated Harry Caray/Steve Stone play-by-play call, but at the 13:00 mark I've included the very rare but brilliant call of Carter's last hit by Thom Brennaman (along with Ron Santo) from the Cubs Radio Network (WINU).
Not to be outdone, I actually found part of the Expos radio broadcast. Go to 17:30 to hear how Ken Singleton sounded that day. (It must have been Ken's turn to do play-by-play that inning as usual Expos announcer Dave Van Horne is not in on that particular call.)
If anyone has more of the Expos radio network call of this game or the post game ceremony (video or audio) when the Expos honored Gary & Sandy Carter, please contact me as I would love to track those videos/ audios down.
