Thousands of Jewish settlers gathered in central Jerusalem on Tuesday evening to demand that the Barak government take stronger measures against the Palestinians.
Extremists called on Barak to resign.
The crowd prayed, danced and sang throughout the evening.
The organisers were disappointed at the turnout, saying that the dangerous situation on the roads throughout the West Bank prevented many from attending.
Many of those at the protest had earlier attended the funeral of Sara Leisha, a resident of a West Bank settlement, who was killed in an ambush on Monday.
