Femoroacetabular impingement or FAI is a condition where abnormal contour of the bones of the lateral hip joint produce increased pressure between the bones with certain movements. The repetitive pressure/pinching resulting in injuries of the lateral hip bones (femur and acetabulum) and the hip labrum.
