Many Christians struggle with the idea of the "unforgivable sin" of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. What does this mean? How do you commit it? How do you AVOID committing it? Can you know you haven't already committed it? It's hard to give good answers for any of these questions, because Jesus only briefly describes it in the vaguest of terms, and then that's it. The Bible never again says a word about it.

This leaves Christians stuck with weird idea that doesn't seem to fit with the rest of their theology or their understanding of God's character. It also leaves a lot of believers in a perpetual state of fear. So what do they do? Well, most of them try to define it out of existence, to the point that they no longer have to confront the actual idea of an "unforgivable sin." Today we'll watch a video from "Impact Ministries" doing that exact thing.
