If you come to Jaskonys village (4 km from Druskininkai), you will have the opportunity to learn about the making of šakotis, a traditional Lithuanian festive delicacy, and to try your hand at making it yourself. You will also have a chance to sample this dessert just out of the oven and participate in the “Milky Way” and “Nuances of Making Lithuanian Dishes” educational programs.
Also do not miss the chance to visit the only šakotis museum in Eastern Europe to get a glimpse of the impressive 3.72 m tall exhibit that has set the world record for the world’s tallest šakotis.
