I had a million questions before I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, but in all truth, I had no idea what to expect! The journey was so much different (and so much better) than I could have imagined. That being said, there were a few things I wish I had known before setting off to thru-hike, so I wanted to share my perspective here. In addition, I asked several trail friends to weigh in on what they wish they knew before starting their thru-hikes!
