Pumpkin Dump Cake
Ingredients:
Pure pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling): 2 cans (15 ounces each) (850 grams)
Evaporated milk: 1 can (12 ounces) (340 grams)
Granulated sugar: 1 cup (200 grams)
Cinnamon: 3 teaspoons
Large eggs: 3
Yellow cake mix or butter cake mix: 1 package
Chopped pecans: 1 cup (100 grams)
Salted butter (melted): 3/4 cup (170 grams)
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2. Prepare Pumpkin Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the pure pumpkin, evaporated milk, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and eggs. Whisk until well combined and smooth.
3. Pour Into Baking Dish: Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
4. Add Cake Mix: Sprinkle the yellow cake mix or butter cake mix evenly over the top of the pumpkin mixture.
5. Optional: Add Pecans: Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the cake mix layer.
Drizzle with Melted Butter: Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix and pecans.
6. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7. Cool and Serve: Allow the pumpkin dump cake to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
8. Optional: Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat!
