** This Zoom interview with Bill is Part 1 of 2 **
Bill discusses his career as a TV talk show host, some of his memorable historic interviews (Jerry Lewis, Eddie Fisher, Frank Sinatra), and his new comic novel: THE ADVENTURES OF SPIKE THE WONDER DOG.
Participant comments:
“Terrific! Bill was the greatest interviewer - no one around like that anymore.”
“I loved the program. I loved when he mentioned Frank Sinatra at Carnegie Hall. The wonderful husband I had at the time took me to see him there. He let me buy a $2000.00 gown to wear to hang over my box seat to wave at Frank so he could see me. I said I still have the gown. Bill said."In your mind" . I had to tell him no, in my closet. I must admit I do have it hanging here and love it still. I showed my aide recently but she didn't know who Frank Sinatra was or Carnegie Hall! Bill brought back wonderful times!! I am 76 and thought I was old. Bill made me feel just right! I do hope he comes again. I also thanked the young man who got him to come and enjoyed seeing his beautiful wife and darling little girl who came on to say hello after ! It meant so much. Being a handicapped person now whose life has changed drastically! A truly wonderful program."
