This is the largest remaining piece of the Apollo 13 Lunar Module. It was removed by Lunar Module Pilot Fred Haise.
“We couldn’t bring all of the LM back, and time was running out as we neared the time for splashdown. We did manage to bring you back this armrest, with a note that says, “A part of Aquarius, the LM-7 reuturned to GAC personnel in appreciation for a job well done. From the Apollo 13 crew, James A. Lovell, John L. Swigert, Fred W. Haise.” - Fred Haise during speech to Grumman Engineers on May 1970.
