points in video :
- Solve Lot questions and get good exposure to lot of questions.
- solve puzzles and also logic reasoning (also good for interview prep) → from gfg
- learn property of various data structure , what is the time complexity for a particular operation in any data structure. eg. xor ( prefix xor , or same xor is zero.)
- when xor or AND is given also try to think in bits terms.
- learn to analyze the constrains (very IMP).
- always take a pen and copy with you while solving a question and solve the question for 2-3 test cases and get confident before writing the code.
- read test cases, and come up with similar test cases and then try to use the same logic there and see if the solution is coming.
- speak the question aloud while reading, it helps to concentrate more and understand more from the questions. ( maybe u get some hints from the question itself).
- try to come up with a brute force solution first if the question seems hard , and then mold it according to the constraints.
- In interview , think of exceptions before submitting the code.
- watch online videos.
- try to solve new problems, problems which challenge you , and you will know that you have learned something new today.
- dont directly jump to solution first , at least give the question 5-10 min of thinking. the task is not to fully solve the question always, but try to come up with some key observation , and then when you see the solution video or the editorial , see if the editorial also uses the same logic , or what were you missing.
- dont multitask too much , while thinking over the approach of a problem, it will not help you to concentrate.
- never read an editorial once , but at least 3-4 times ( speak it loud , or search the question online if it is not too latest , maybe someone else might have written some solution in their blog post)
- write query in contest discussions or read other people doubts and logic in the discussions.
- also for good question or on leetcode try to read other submission and logic also for the same question, you might discover something new.
- always fully understand the problem before coding it.
- help your friends and also never hesitate to ask doubts , no matter how silly they seams.
- Practice will make your axe sharper , so be calm.
