Among the spate of Canadian tv series that aired on CBS Late Night and USA Network, 'Counterstrike' (1990, on USA) is considered one of the better efforts. After his wife is killed by terrorists, an international industrialist (Christopher Plummer) creates and finances his own team to track down evildoers around the world. Another production from Sonny Grosso, it's counter-terrorist action with a bit of 'Mission: Impossible', plus touches of humor. Apparently the last episode is controversial; haven't seen it so no spoilers here. The theme is by Domenic Troiano ('Night Heat').
