President Barrack Obama speaks to US troops at Bagram Air Base on May 2nd 2012, during an unannounced visit to Afghanistan. Along with Commander, General John Allen, the president paid tribute to -- First Infantry Division, 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, Task Force Muleskinner, 101st Army Field Sustainment Brigade, Task Force Paladin, Task Force Defender, and all of the combined US forces in Afghanistan. The president is also the current Commander in Chief CINC of the United States Armed Forces as set out in Article II, Section 2, Clause I of the US Constitution. During the visit the president signed a strategic partnership agreement with President Hamid Karzai that marked the beginning of the end of the war.
