The name "Las Vegas Overlook Trail" is rather generic, as most peaks around Vegas offer an overlook to the Strip, such as Frenchman, Black Mountain, etc. This one is from Blue Diamond Hill. From Fossil Canyon Trailhead and the horse stables there are three main trails leading up to the overlook --

1. Bomb Voyage
2. Bob Gnarly
3. Bone Shaker

These trails are shared by horseback riders, mountain bikers, and hikers. Don't be scared by the names. The trails may be challenging to mountain bikers as the names suggest, but they aren't too bad to the hikers. You can make your own combination loop by picking any of the three up and down. The trails are not well marked though, and the crisscrossing social trails can be confusing as well.

I went up by Bomb Voyage and down by Bone Shaker to make a clockwise loop. This is my first time hiking the Fossil Canyon area, and Bomb Voyage is a good trail to start -- it goes straight up to the Muffin Ridge which can be your visual guide. Just follow the muffins!
