There is a lot of bad info floating around for Explosive Trap of Shrapnel, and as part of the league start guide I'm working on I wanted to go over mechanically why it is vastly superior to the normal gem in bossing content. It ended up being a bit too long as a segment in the build guide, and it would help out people who are making build guides right now with bad information, so I'm giving it to you early.
