We will be continuing to work inside of the Creation Kit in order to set up our Armors so that they are craft-able within the game. The first step is to work within the Armor Addon portion of the kit. The Armor Addon section is where we will assign our custom game models to the game engine. This portion of the Creation Kit is where we will tell the game engine where in our folder structure it can locate the armor models. Each Armor Addon can be used to define the male and female version of the Armor as well as the location of the 1st person models. An Armor Addon is used to cover both the male and female version of the same armor but we will only be working with the female portion as that is the body type we have been working with throughout the tutorial series.
Once we have the game model assigned to an Armor Addon we can move into the Armor section of the Creation Kit. The Armor section is where we will be giving our custom armor its name. This section is used to define all the aspects of how the armor will affect the player when it is equipped. We can use the Armor properties to define how heavy the armor is, how valuable it is, what magic properties it has and so on. We will assign the Armor Addon to the Armor properties so that when we equip the Armor the game will know where to find the game model.
