Back in February 2020, I was asked by Kristine to help her write a summer song for Europris (where she worked at that point) for the summer of 2020. We had just made a Christmas song in 2019 which was a great success and all the stores played it across the country as well as releasing it on all the major streaming platforms. She wanted to repeat it with a song for the summer collection so we went to work. It took us a day to lay down the lyrics and melody and I spent a couple of days doing the final backing, mixing and mastering. I quickly threw together some stock content visuals and lyrics for her to use in presentation to the upper management. They were thrilled and said they liked it... but then BOOM! March 12th happened and Norway was closed like the rest of the world. The song then just got shelved and you know how those next years went by. Since then, Kristine moved on to another company and nothing happened with the song.
So I figured I should just throw it out here for fun, since I think we did a pretty good job of making a catchy summer tune. The lyrics is as you can see in Norwegian, so it makes more sense for us Scandinavians, but I think you can get the vibe from it anyway. It's a bit cheesy and it's a corporate song about buying what you need for your summer holiday and save money on a store I would compare to Target/Best Buy in the US and Costco/Lidl in the UK.
