This rare #DeccaLXT 2508 disc with Ernest Ansermet conducting Pierre Nérini (violin) and L'Orchestre De La Société Des Concerts Du Conservatoire De Paris to Scheherazade (Symphonic Suite, Op. 35) by Rimsky-Korsakov was transferred using a #Garrard401 turntable, an #OrtofonAS212 mk2 tonearm partnered to a #BenzMicro Wood H2 cartridge whose signals are amplified using the Graham Slee Era Gold V phonostage. The valve preamp, a Music Reference RM5 mk3 (6922), is used to control the gain and a simple resistor circuit summed the stereo channels to mono before feeding the Tascam DR07mk2 digital recorder.
Recorded in Paris, 1-2 June 1948
