Most journalists will agree that the previous generation Escape was definitely getting rather long in the tooth... Especially when considering the fact that the previous generation was in production for nearly 8 years (2013-2019). Simply put, Ford knew that they had to give the #FordEscape a complete redesign in order for it to remain competitive in the rapidly improving compact utility vehicle segment.
