Start standing tall in Mountain Pose, then fold forwards from the hips so that your hands come down in front of your feet. Lengthen your spine looking forwards. Bend your knees and place your palms flat on the floor, and outwardly rotate your upper arms. Next, step both feet behind you over one metre away from your hands. Your feet should be hip width apart, your legs should be straight and firm and hands should be facing forwards. Tuck in your chin, point your tail bone to the sky and gaze between your feet. If you cannot get into this position, you can bend your knees and bring your belly towards your thighs if you need to.
