This week Ben in Berlin walks to Tegeler See (Lake Tegel) from Volkspark Rehberge (Rehberge Park) in Wedding and shows us what he finds along the way.

But back to this video, it's a pleasant walk where you follow the river as you make your way west out of central Berlin, before heading away from the water and coming up with close with a security wall with barbed wire at the top! This is just the grounds of Tegel Airport which will soon close. Then it's through Tegeler Forst (Tegal Forest) before coming onto one of the beaches that are dotted along Lake Tegel. The lake is connect to the river Havel and is really quite clear and good for swimming and water sports. You can also take boat tours (including on steamer boats) from Greenwich Promenade and out on the lake and river.
