Damianos Kokkinidis, MD, graduated from medical school at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Greece. He spent one year as a research fellow in cardiology at the Denver VA Medical Center and University of Colorado, before starting his internal medicine residency at Jacobi Medical Center. He then joined Yale Cardiovascular Medicine as a clinical fellow in 2020.
Ricardo Avendaño, MD, graduated from medical school at the Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado, in El Salvador. He then did his internal medicine residency at Jacobi Medical Center. Subsequently, he was recruited to Yale to perform a combined research and clinical fellowship in cardiology, doing a T32 research fellowship before starting his clinical fellowship. After finishing his training, he will specialize in cardiac electrophysiology at Yale.
