In my view, Marian Petrescu is one of the most underrated jazz pianists of our time. He's outstanding in every context but I particularly enjoy his work with Andreas Öberg (guitar), which is why I chose this performance. The other two members of the quartet are David Finck (bass) and Mark McLean (drums). The piece, "Bossa Beguine," was composed by the great Oscar Peterson. In this performance (and many others, though not all), it's evident that Petrescu's style shares many similarities with Peterson's.
I tried to estimate the beats where the fast notes are played, but in reality, some are placed slightly between the beats. The notes that you see in parenthesis ”( )” are either notes I'm not sure were played or some personal additions.
