Hyperscale expertise is coming to a datacenter near you, and it's bringing with it a level of efficiency and performance that previously was only available to the biggest players.
On October 6, 2015 in San Jose, QCT (Quanta Cloud Technology) opened the Cloud Solution Center, where enterprises and service providers can explore and test hyper-converged infrastructure hardware and solutions from the hyperscale cloud datacenter expert.
The formal event began with networking and presentations by executives from QCT and industry leaders like Intel, Avago, VMware, EMC, Samsung and Liteon. Mike Yang, General Manager of QCT presented an overview of how QCT is extending the company's hyperscale heritage into systems, services and hyper-converged infrastructure with partners like VMware and OpenStack contributing companies.
Two group presentations examined the state of the software-defined data center (SDDC), with experts from Canonical, HGST, Mellanox, Micron, Microsoft, Mirantis, Red Hat, Seagate, Toshiba and VMware.
Kiosk demos include virtualized cloud computing platforms, software-defined storage, software-defined networking, hyper-converged infrastructure, self-contained rack integrated/optimized solutions, and big data solutions for private and hybrid clouds.
We took this important opportunity to show how QCT—with our partners—are bringing hyperscale datacenter technologies to a broad market of enterprises and service providers visioning hyper-converged infrastructure.
