What a year. I spent many summer nights chasing the Milky Way, caught the Aurora Borealis, saw dozens of Perseids meteors, and had crystal clear skies during this supermoon lunar eclipse. Time-lapse photography is purely a hobby for me right now but it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite pastimes.
This scene was rather difficult to photograph since the moon moves so quickly. I had to keep repositioning the camera and had to keep changing the settings as the moon’s light faded away. Next time, I would also use a slower interval (these shots were 5 seconds apart).
Shot on a Canon 6D with a 75-300mm lens.
