Learn how to set up your Weber Kettle Grill for perfect 2-zone cooking! In this detailed guide, we'll show you step-by-step how to prepare your grill for both direct and indirect heat, ensuring you get the best grilling or BBQ results every time. Whether you're a grilling novice or a BBQ pro, these tips will help you master your Weber Kettle Grill.
Steps:
-1- Remove any residual ash and empty the Ash Pot.
-2- Arrange a small amount of Royal Oak Charcoal Briquette on one side of the grill.
-3- Use bricks or a water pan to create a 2-zone cooking chamber.
-4- Light a Royal Oak Tumble Weed fire starter on top of the charcoal.
-5- Wait until the charcoal is burning and then add more charcoal.
-6- Place the rack in the grill and preheat to 550°F.
-7- Clean the grates using a brush or aluminum foil.
-8- Wait for the grill to stop smoking.
-9- Adjust the bottom damper to about halfway between the two dots on the lower baffle control.
-10- Adjust the top damper to about 1/8” open.
-11- Wait for the grill to reduce to the desired temperature.
-12- Fine-tune the top damper to stabilize the temperature.
Now you're ready to grill!
