But here I may have the truth the author is hiding from us, I believe the Angel Devil is lying about his identity, the devil that he represents, is a concept so feared even today that it even has an established word for the fear of it. Homophobia. The Angel Devil is actually the Homosexuality Devil or Gay Devil.

Hold your horses, you may be saying. Despite the lack of continuity in his powers, the angel devil’s appearance clearly has angelic characteristics, take the halo and his wings. To add to that, in chapter 74 it is revealed that the Angel Devil previously had a girlfriend, so how is he homosexual. Well, angel never really stated his partner’s gender, so they may have just been a femboy; and sure, Angel did have both wings and halo, but he is very femininly attractive in appearance to the point where he was at one point in Denji’s strike zone until denji learned that angel is actually male. The angel devil’s feminine appearance may be symbolism for the tendency for gay people to display themselves femininely to attract males. In fact, even Aki’s hatred for devils was put aside very fast after he interacted with the angel devil more, many theorists speculate that he developed an attraction for angel, and the feelings were discreetly reciprocated, based on their fruity interactions. Maybe another hidden power of the Angel Devil is to attract Males.

Okay, it seems like I was babbling like a madman while addressing those counterpoints, so let me get to my definitive proof on how the Angel Devil is actually the Homosexuality Devil. His powers.

His main power is to draw out the lifeforce of anyone he has skin-to-skin contact with, even until the victim dies. This could represent Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and the strong association of them with homosexuals by the public. Plus, the angel devil could only draw out your lifeforce with skin-to-skin contact, this represents unprotected sex spreading STDs without a prophylactic. Plus one of the angel devil’s powers is that anyone cut with his 5 years usage sword will die. Anyone touching his sword will die? It’s kind of on the nose at this point.

The second ability of the angel devil is to summon swords. Now, how is this in relation to Homosexuality. Well, think of the male sexual organ, the penis, which has many euphemisms related to swords. Such as the act of 2 males fencing each other with their phalluses, known as swordfighting, which is also a homosexual act.
