Many different factors go into infertility, and there's many different reason why a couple may struggle to have a baby. If you've been trying for over a year to have a baby, then I suggest you speak with a specialist. And one of the first things they'll do is talk to you about certain lifestyle behaviors. For one, they could ask you if you smoke or if you drink, both of which can affect fertility. They may also ask you what your occupation is, what your fitness level is. They'll probably take your weight, because sometimes if you're overweight or underweight, that could affect your ability to conceive. There's many different factors that go into it. They'll also perform an exam and perhaps want to do blood work on you and your partner to decide what's at the root of the infertility, and based on that, hopefully they can come up with a treatment option that will help you have a baby.
