In this video, we take you on a hike with us to the beautiful Tom Dick and Harry mountain and the Mirror lake lying in the Oregon's Mt. hood wilderness. Mt. hood is home to some of the most spectacular trails in the state, and the Tom Dick and Harry mountain trail sits right at the top of this list. Offering stunning and close up look of Mt. hood, this trail is brings up joy and fascination among hikers and is understandably busy during the summer months. Originating a little south of the Government camp on Hwy 26, the trail spans a length of ~9 miles with ~1700ft of elevation gain. The first view point, which is the Mirror lake, comes in at ~2 miles from the start. Hikers have an option of just doing the Mirror lake loop and returning back, hiking in total of ~5 miles. We did the Mirror lake loop on our way back from the Tom Dick and Harry mountain and as you can see in the video, the loop part was a bit of a struggle for us. After another ~2 miles into the hike, you reach the second view point, which apparently, is also where most of the hikers stopped for their break and turned around. The reason being, that the trail is not well maintained beyond this point and has fallen trees on the path. However, Deepak managed to complete the entire trail up to the Tom Dick and Harry mountain. If you decide to do the same, make sure to download the map in advance as it can be very easy to get lost in this wilderness. As for the views, the second view point offers clear and unobstructed views of 4 other mountains along with Mt. hood, similar to the silverstar mountain top ([ Ссылка ]).
