Namsoong festival has its distinct value amongst the Lepcha community of Dzongu, North Sikkim. "The festival is being celebrated in the region since 1977 and there has been significant changes in the organisation but the cultural traits are more preserved and revived" says one of the organisers.
The festival also is an platform to the young budding talents of the region and also a business centre where local entrepreneurs can display their crafts, innovations and art.
